AT&T Has a Very Twisted Definition of Attractive

From their press release…
AT&T will offer iPhone 3G S and iPhone 3G at a variety of attractive prices:
- iPhone 3G S will cost $199 (16GB) and $299 (32GB).
- iPhone 3G will cost $99 (8GB) for new and qualifying customers.
- The 16 GB iPhone 3G will be available for $149 while supplies last.
Well AT&T just lost my 300 dollars. No way am I paying 400/500 dollars for an iPhone with video, speed and a compass, that’s monthly plan follows that of a subsidized phone.
Boy is that Palm Pre looking good right now…
Why is everyone so upset that they can’t get the latest and greatest when they haven’t fulfilled their contract yet?
AT&T subsidized (read – gave you a deal) on a phone to use their service for two years – that is how they get their money back on the subsidy. Now half-way into the CONTRACT, everyone is mad that AT&T won’t take a loss on the first subsidy they gave you, just to give you another deal and satisfy your need for the latest and greatest.
On top of this, people are mad at Apple for this also!!? AT&T is subsidizing the phone, not Apple. And both companies are in business to make money.
People always want something for nothing. Wait 6 months til AT&T allows you to upgrade early. Or, here is an idea, fulfill the contract you signed and you will get a deal.
Agreed. If you buy a pre from Sprint , or a blackberry 2 on sprint, and then a new web o/s phone comes out in the next 12 months you aren’t going to get it for the same cheap price. Even with the Pre launch the price was for new or expired contracts. Im assuming that was most people who bought the pre because sprint didn’t have many people left.

apple is a phone co. now……they forgot pro apps……i think cs4 is looking real good about now!
I mean they (apple) don’t talk about it (fcs3) at all…..at least tell us if it’s coming out at all……..say something

get a pre … and then you can make up rumors about it.
