Mac Soda

Check it out. The man behind the picture says that this is the new Mac Mini. I think they just took the lid of the Mac Mini and placed it on a shinier case, because I really don’t see Apple keeping the white top on the Mini. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

UPDATE: After further investigation, I believe this is the new Mac Mini. While it may not be very revolutionary on the outside, I can assume the inside will be worth the wait. Expect the new Mac Mini to be announced in late March/early April.

Finally, some actual news! I’ve been bored out of my mind as a blogger this past few weeks… you probably noticed due to my lack of posting. Today though, there finally is something interesting… Apple EOL’d their 20 inch Cinema Display. Why they did so is anyone’s guess, but my prediction is an imminent refresh of the displays, with the 20 inch model being discontinued, the 24 inch model moving to the 20 inch’s pricepoint, the 30 inch moving to the 24 inch’s pricepoint, and a new display with a screen larger than 30 inches moving to the 30 inch’s pricepoint. All of these displays will have mini-displayport, iChat, Speaker, Microphone, and will be redesigned with the new thickness and black bezel of the 24 inch. This could be a quiet update, or we could see an event relatively soon… perhaps a “Pro” event with new Displays, Mac Pros, Final Cut Studio 3, and Logic Studio 3! Stay tuned everyone!

In yet even more boring news, Psystar finally caught a mini-break in their case against Apple, which begs the question from all Apple-watchers… who cares? Where are the Mac Minis/iMacs? When are we gonna get new Apple TVs? Any news on iPhone 3.0? What’s up with Snow Leopard? Seriously… can we at least get a fake rumor to talk about? The Apple scene has been dead since Steve announced he wasn’t gonna do Macworld this year.

While I’m on the topic of Psystar, the question should be asked…

You guessed it: me. The Woz is gonna be on the show, and I think he’s gonna win it. With every techie voting for him, I don’t see who could possibly stop him.

Except possibly her.

It popped up in my iTunes today, and I wasn’t sure if it means anything. I’m downloading it now, but does anyone know?

I always love a good Apple joke, and I sure love The Office. Let’s combine the two…
